  • Evangelical Attempt at Understanding the Book of Mormon

Author Blog or Website, Disagree with Mormon Views, Doctrine, Non-Mormon, Publisher Information 27.06.2009 2 Comments

In our communication of the good news to Latter-day Saints (as to anyone), we must ask basic questions like: In this culture, how do these people communicate? How do they make spiritual decisions? What do you value? How do they view themselves and others? What is their epistemology? What forces shape their religious identity? And how are the answers to those questions different in LDS culture compared to my own cultural norms, and compared to biblical norms?

  • Interview: Aubrey Mace, author of My Fairly Grandmother

Author Blog or Website, Fantasy, Fiction 09.06.2009 No Comments

I’ve been a big reader ever since I was little, and I think on some level I’ve always wanted to write. I started actually writing stories in college, which was a lot of fun. But as much as I wanted to write a book, I would always get to this point twenty or thirty pages into it where the story would abruptly end. So I wrote a lot of short stories, and one day, I wrote a little fairy tale that just kept going—it was fifty pages, then a hundred, and so on. I was so scared to tell anyone that I was writing a book because I was afraid that the minute I said it out loud, the story would be over! But I finished it, and I’ve been writing books ever since.

  • News: Remembering Isaac Now At Brigham Distributing

Author Blog or Website, Fiction, General 08.06.2009 No Comments

So far, I’ve sold over 600 copies, an knowing that many if not most of these books have been read by multiple people, I’m going to guess that Remembering Isaac has been read by over 1000 people. On Amazon.com, I now have reviews from 7 people, one as far away as the U.K.. Many who have read the book are returning to buy more copies to share with friends and family.
